Whisp, the Cloud Who Helped

Whisp was a little cloud, as soft and white as a fluffy kitten. He loved floating high in the sky, watching the world below. But today, the world looked sad. The sun had been shining for many days, and the grass was turning brown. Flowers drooped their heads, and the trees looked thirsty. Whisp felt a little sad too. "Oh dear," he whispered to himself, "I wish I could help those thirsty plants." But he was just one small cloud, and he didn't know how to make rain all by himself.

Suddenly, Whisp saw big, dark clouds gathering in the distance. They looked enormous and a little bit scary! They rumbled softly, like sleepy giants. "Are they going to make a storm?" Whisp wondered, feeling a tiny shiver. A wise, old cloud, bigger than Whisp but with kind, gentle edges, drifted closer. "Don't be afraid, little Whisp," rumbled the old cloud gently. "We big clouds are gathering to bring rain. It takes many of us working together."

The wise old cloud explained how tiny water droplets inside them could join to become bigger drops, heavy enough to fall as rain. "Even a small cloud like you can help," he said encouragingly. Whisp took a deep breath. He watched as the big clouds started to swirl and bump gently, collecting more and more tiny water droplets. Whisp decided to be brave. He started swirling too, gathering all the little bits of moisture around him, feeling himself grow a tiny bit heavier. He was working with his new cloud friends!

Soon, the sky was full of grey, happy clouds. Whisp felt a wonderful rumble inside him, not scary at all, but like a happy song. Then, plip-plop, plip-plop! The first raindrops began to fall. The thirsty ground drank it all up, and the flowers lifted their faces to the sky. The trees swayed happily. Whisp watched the world below turn green and fresh again, feeling so proud. He had helped! He learned that even a small cloud, working with friends, can make a big difference and bring joy to the world.
