A Droopy Friend

Petey the plant is feeling unwell, and his friend Lily notices.

Lily had a special friend named Petey. Petey was a talking plant! But today, Petey was very quiet. His green leaves were droopy and a little bit yellow. "Petey, are you sad?" asked Lily.

Water and Sun

Lily helps Petey by giving him water and moving him into the sunlight.

"I'm thirsty," whispered Petey. "And I miss the bright sun." Lily knew just what to do! She gave Petey a nice drink of water. Then, she gently moved his pot to the sunny window. "Is this better?" she asked.

A Happy Flower

Petey becomes healthy and happy again, and even grows a beautiful flower.

"Yes!" cheered Petey. His leaves perked up and turned bright green! Then... pop! A beautiful flower bloomed on his head. "Wow!" said Lily. "Water and sun make you healthy!" Petey smiled. "And healthy food and playing outside make you healthy, too, Lily!"

Moral of the Story
To be strong and happy, we all need care, like sun and water for plants, and healthy food and play for children.
